The spirit of London 2012 came to Sutton on Tuesday with the CMG athletics championships.
More than 200 competitors with learning disabilities descended on the David Weir leisure centre in Cheam Road from all corners of the country.
They competed in a range of sports including sumo wrestling, high and long jump, and a 50m obstacle wheelchair race.
Goldie Sayers, a double Olympian, and Olivia Breen, a Paralympic bronze medallist over 100m, were on hand to dish out 186 medals in front of more than 500 spectators.
The mayor of Sutton, councillor Sean Brennan, said: “It was a great day, and I must commend CMG for such a fantastic initiative.
“It was a wonderful celebration of the sporting abilities of those with learning disabilities. “The weather was perfect and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
