Herne Hill Harrier Denisha Marshall-Brown was decorated with gold at the weekend as she claimed four age-group first places at the England Athletics U15/U17 Championships at Bedford.

The 13-year-old, a T12 disability athlete who is visually impaired, struck gold in the 100m, 200m, shot and javelin.

Competing at the same meeting, Saskia Millard won a national bronze medal in the 800m, clocking two minutes, 14.34 seconds in a close race.

There were also sixth place finishes for Feysel Nadew and Ed Olsen in the U15 and U17 800m respectively.

There was further 800m success for Harriers at a Young Athletes open meeting at Woking with Oscar Millard a winner in the U13 boys' event and Ursula Hall in the U11 girls' race, while Eloise O'Shaughnessy was second in the U13 girls' 800m.

Elsewhere, a Harriers squad was fourth at the Southern Counties Veterans League final at Ashford, matching the position of their junior counterparts who were also fourth in the final of the Lily B Girls' League.

On the road, Mohammed Ismail won the Dulwich parkrun, clocking 16.49, while Stuart Slavicky was 11th at the Brockwell parkrun in 19.37.

Further afield, Robin Sanderson is currently competing in the Gore-Tex Transalpine-run, an eight-day, 250km stage race in the Alps.

Racing with Adam Stirk, a member of Guildford & Godalming AC, as a two-man team, at the time of writing the pair were 19th out of 84 teams in their category.
