Richmond's impressive run continued with a 43-7 victory against Bishop's Stortford on Saturday and they must be confident of gaining revenge over Barnes, the only side to beat them in 2007 so far, when the local rivals meet this weekend in the Surrey Cup.
The forwards provided the platform for last Saturday's win. Rupert Allhusen was the man of the match, while Tristan Wesley was again magnificent in the lineouts.
Matt Hart, filling in at fly-half again, had an inspired afternoon, and wingers Joe Ajuwa and David Howells were always a menace.
Richmond roared into a 19-0 lead within 15 minutes through tries by Allhusen, Howells and Jono Farmer and two conversions from Hart.
By half-time it was 31-0, with Hart sending Howells and Liam Brown racing over and landing the second conversion after hitting the woodwork with the first.
But Richmond seemed to switch off in the second half and Stortford deservedly replied with a try by Nick Harris which Tom Coleman converted.
Yet Richmond managed to rub salt into the wounds by conjuring two late touch downs through James Whitfield and Joe Ajuwa, who forced his way past four defenders.
Richmond: Piggot (Stokes), Ajuwa, Drewe, Brown, Howells, Hart (captain), Roche, Allhusen (Nuttall), Whitfield, Gregory, Wesley, Williams, Farmer, Barlow, van Schalkwyk.
