St Paul's Barnes, who have a good pedigree in the Daily Mail Schools U15 Cup as losing finalists two seasons ago, are bidding to reach another final by overcoming Bishop of Hereford's School at RFU Castlecroft this Saturday, writes Simon Mills.
St Paul's have come from behind in the last two rounds - recovering from trailing 21-10 to beat RGS Colchester 22-21 and then from 6-0 down to run out 14-6 winners away to Exeter School.
Head of rugby Glen Harrison is hoping they can go one better than the side beaten 12-7 by St Benedict's Ealing in 2005. He said: "This team maybe has a bit more sparkle behind the scrum and is more of an all-round side."
Against Exeter leading try-scorer Rupert Cowan went over in the corner and fly-half Nico Willson converted a pressure kick from the touchline to effectively win the game.
Wilson, who also converted another try by Ben MacDonald, could be the key man in the final two rounds to help captain Dan Gershfield get his hands on the silverware.
