London Scottish chalked up another substantial win on Saturday, this time by 69-5 over visitors Bishop's Stortford, to ensure that their favourable points difference would probably secure the London League Division One title even if they were to lose one of the final two matches.

But on this form Scottish should be confident of beating Richmond at home on March 31 and Staines away on April 14.

Those attending the Family Fun Day were rewarded with an 11-try feast, with Whyte and Mackay Man of the Match Bryan Milne scoring a hat-trick to take his tally to nine tries from his eight appearances.

Stuart Peel made two touch downs to take him above Charlie Broughton as the club's leading try scorer and level top of the league on 16, an extraordinary return for a No 10.

Other tries came from Jon Pettemerides (two), Alex Alesbrook, Jim Kelly, Rory Greenslade-Jones and David Watt, with Jamie Whelan kicking seven conversions.

Hard working outside backs Broughton, Ross Yiend and Matt Vines did not get a sniff of a chance, because the scoring passes were made before the ball needed to go wide.

London Scottish: Vines, Broughton, Greenslade-Jones, Milne, Yiend, Peel (Costeloe, 68 mins), Whelan, Kelly (Fahey, 47 mins), Sylvester (Kelly, 77 mins), Lewis, Smith, Soper, Pettemerides, Watt, Alesbrook (capt).
