Twickenham's Chemmy Alcott put in a season's best giant slalom performance to finish 15th at the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in Switzerland on Sunday.
The 24-year-old had become the first British female skier to qualify for the end of season finale in Lenzerheide by finishing the season ranked 21st in the world.
Placed 16th after the first run, a second attempt of 1:10.86 lifted Alcott one place with a combined time of 2:16.74 - nearly five seconds behind Austrian winner Nicole Hosp.
Her previous best in the discipline this season came during January's World Cup meeting in Slovenia where she finished 16th.
It ends a consistent year for the former Surbiton High School student, which saw her just miss qualification for the downhill for the third year running and cement her position as Britain's number one women's skier.
