Ten members of Sutton Runners were in action at the Banstead Woods 5k time trial on Saturday, with Chris Catt leading the group home, finishing in fifth place in 18.44.

Results: Lauren Jones 20.03 (44th), Ange Norris 22.17 (48th),Tim McIntyre 23.23 (63rd), Therese Panetta 24.32 (76th), Claire Ballhatchet 25.58 (91st), Trish Coombs 27.25 (98th), Mary Lamont 27.28 (99th), Pauline Woodman 29.43 (119th), Carole Dockett 40.34 (152nd).

Then at the Richmond Park 5k Time Trial James Barber ran in a time of 23.09 to com in 44th place.

Also on Saturday Jim ‘Marathon Man’ Mundy ran in the Faversham Marathon and came 7th overall in a time of 3.36.44.

A short marathon is now not enough for Jim as on the following day he competed in the Downland Ultra 30 miles race and finished alongside club member, Yin-Hai Cheung. Jim finished in a time of 5.36.32 and Yin-Hai in 3.36.48.

Also on Sunday 27 members of Sutton Runners took part in the Elmbridge. The club had some outstanding results with Luis Gomez achieving the 2nd MV40 position in a time of 35.00 (19th), and Martin Giles the 3rd MV40 position in a time of 35.45 (28th) and Stewart Stanton the 3rd M U20 in a time of 45.15 (235th), which was also a PB.

For the club's women Vicky Foad achieved 2nd FV35 in a time of 39.22 (89th) also a PB and Trish Coombs achieved 2nd FV65 in a time of 56.06 (494th). There were also another 6 PBs ran by Sutton Runners.

They were: Steven Barber 36.53 (47th) PB, Earl Tulloch 40.58 (129th) PB, Barry Walden 51.26 (396th) PB, Lynn Hickey 53.13 (436th) PB, Marion Stanton 53.41 (445th)PB, Jacqueline Arrowsmith 54.59 (469th)PB.
