Luke Gale admits Harlequins face a massive two games on the road as they look to bounce back from recent back-to-back setbacks.

After storming to four wins in their first five games, the Londoners have now lost two on the spin, shipping 122 points in the process.

And stand-off Gale, one of the stand-out performers for Quins this season, accepts it is time to deliver.

He said: “The next two weeks are really big for us.

“We pride ourselves on our defence and obviously in the last two games it has just not been good enough.

“We have two away games now at Bradford and Wakefield and we have the chance to put things right.

“If we work hard and keep our discipline I am sure things will come good.”

Gale added a try and five conversions in Sunday’s 40-30 defeat at home to Hull, keeping up his impressive early season form.

Other tries came from Chris Melling, Luke Dorn, Tony Clubb and Chad Randall.

But the former Leeds man insists it is all about the team rather than individual feats.

Gale added: “Of course I am happy with how I am playing but give me two points any day.

“When you have had a good game and still come off losing it hurts even more and the Hull game was a real sickener.

“But even so it is always good to play well and I feel pretty pleased with how my form is going.”

Quins now head to Bradford on Sunday looking to arrest the slide.

And Gale feels a tough week on the training ground is in order.

He added: “I think as soon as we get back in training we can put this behind us.

“We will watch the video and see where we can improve and we need to get that winning habit back as soon as possible.

“Obviously we can win at Bradford but you cannot really go into any game thinking you are going to win.

“If you do you can come unstuck very quickly and we have to make sure we train hard, prepare well and go there expecting a very tough game.”
