Woodmansterne maintained their impressive start to the season with an emphatic seven-wicket win over Worplesdon and Burpham in Fuller’s League Division Two.
After winning the toss and electing to field Woods restricted Worplesdon to 174 all out.
Chief destroyers for Woods were Jay Patel (3-32), Martin Corbett (3-42) and Alex Squires (3-33). Keeper Jan Lever picked up six catches while Richard Kitt and Chris Porter both made 44 for the home side.
In reply Woods dominated the bowling from the off with opener Jan Lever in fine form 73 not out. Skipper Richard Knight contributed with 47 before Martin Corbett (18no) joined Lever to see the away team home.
