Harlequins RL desperately need to halt their disastrous slip down the Engage Super League table when they face Bradford at The Stoop on Saturday.

Having been among the early leaders following four wins from five games, Quins have picked up just one point from the nine matches since then and now sit third from bottom.

Their latest defeat came at Castleford Tigers last Sunday, where two tries from loan signing Chris Riley on debut were not enough to prevent a 56-24 defeat.

Quins led 14-6 at one point in the first half but faded to be 22-18 behind at the break before Tigers stand-off Rangi Chase scored four tries in the second half as the home side ran riot.

Prop Oliver Wilkes also scored two tries for Quins, while Jamie O'Callaghan got one.

"I thought we were pretty good in the first half but I was disappointed with the second period," said head coach Rob Powell.

"We learned a bit of a lesson in the quality of the kicking game.

"We still have a slight issue that when we take blokes off the field we struggle as a team and the blokes who are coming on have to do better and that's something we need to address."

Quins' next three games: Jun 4 Bradford (h, 3pm), 12 Hull (a, 3pm), 18 Wakefield (h, 3pm).
