Captain Ed Koral hopes a first point on the road can help Streatham Redskins continue their revival in National Ice Hockey League South Division One.

Skins drew 3-3 with Slough Jets - having led 3-1 thanks to two goals from Stevie Balmer and Peter Molnar - on Sunday to secure their first point away from Streatham Ice Arena.

After defeats in their opening three games, Redskins have three points from their last two and Koral, whose side go to Bristol Pitbulls on Saturday and host Cardiff Devils on Sunday, believes everything is looking up.

"We seem to be slowly coming together as a team and I think we are going to keep on improving as the season goes on," he said.

"We knew Slough would be a tough proposition and, while we are all annoyed we let them back into the game, on reflection we should be pleased to pick up a point from an away fixture given that we have lost our two previous games on the road this season.

"We have a tough double header weekend coming up, but if we can go to Bristol on Saturday and grab some points that will set us up nicely for the home game against Cardiff on the Sunday."
