Streatham Redskins' upturn in fortunes continued on Sunday despite not being able to record back-to-back victories over Oxford City Stars.

Seven days earlier, they had beaten Oxford 7-5 but had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Streatham Ice Arena this time around as they twice surrendered the lead.

It means they have gone three games unbeaten though but will face a tough test to keep that run going at home to Invicta Dynamos this Sunday.

In-form Jerry Pavlus scored his sixth goal in three games since joining Streatham to give them the lead before Oxford equalised with a controversial goal the home side said had been kicked in by Darren Elliott.

Liam Rasmussen restored Streatham's lead after more good work from Pavlus but the home side were made to pay for taking minor penalties in the third period as Oxford equalised again, scoring their second powerplay goal of the night.
