Thames Handball Club keeper Anita Rylow had a day to forget as her St Mary’s University-based club crashed 24-19 to Barking’s league leaders London Angels in England’s Super8 National Women’s League on Sunday.
Rylow only had a 12 per cent save rate, but there was potential on show from England U18 star Maddie Edwards.
The club's leading goalscorers on the day were Maria Kourdoulos (6), Nikoletta Rau (3) and Maria Garcia Pedrosa (3).
Thames head to Serbia this weekend to take on Naisa Nis in the European Challenge Cup for a place in the last 16.
