Leander Rowing Club completed a Kingston Head of the River one, two, three on the Thames on Saturday.

The Henley-on-Thames based club’s three elite men’s eight crews filled the top three positions with the top crew – with London 2012 Olympic men’s pairs bronze medalist Will Satch in stroke – winning in a time of 15 minutes 26.8 seconds.

The trio’s dominance meant Molesey Boat Club’s elite crew [16:16.6] finished fourth.

Kingston’s intermediate men’s eight [16:42.2] finished second in their category behind winners University of London Boat club.

The host club’s U18 boys coxless fours crew [18:32] pipped Tiffin School by a minute and seven seconds to triumph, while Surbiton High School’s U18 girls’ finished some distance ahead of rivals Putney High School.

Lady Eleanor Holles School’s U14 girls’ eight [22:37.3] triumphed in their section and Kingston’s U16 girls’ eight [22:03.2] also won.
