Teddington Swimming Club sprint specialist Sophie Johnson struck double gold at the London Regional Swimming Championships on Saturday.
Johnson set a new personal best of 29.61 seconds to win the U15 girls’ 50m butterfly, before following that up with 50m freestyle gold in a time of 27.90secs.
Teddington claimed five titles on the day with James Adams winning the men’s 50m breaststroke in 29.85secs, Sophie Fussell claiming U13 girls’ 50m breasststroke gold in 34.65secs and Yasmine Hamerlaine winning the U12 girls’ backstroke gold a new best of 33.29secs.
The club claimed 13 medals in total on the day, adding three silver and five bronze medals to their golden haul.
