Queensbury Boxing League welterweight champion Anthony Ayinde has told challenger Lee Cannon to concentrate on their fight rather than talking big.
Kingston’s Ayinde claimed the title by beating Danny Stalford in October last year has warns his best is still to come ahead of the opening fight of the new Queensbury season on February 6.
The 24-year-old has worked his way up the competition’s rankings capturing both the novice and regional welterweight titles since making his debut back in 2013.
And after being fired up by Cannon’s bold pre fight statements, Ayinde is confident his latest opponent will not hear the final bell of their showdown next month.

“Lee Cannon is a big talker and thinks he’s going to put me to sleep, but that’s got me even more fired up for this fight and I’m looking to knock him out now,” said Ayinde ahead of the fight at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel in west Sussex.
“I’ve seen Cannon box a few times and he’s a completely different type of fighter to Stalford, but he’s not boxed anyone like me before and when he actually has to try and fight me, he’s going to realise I’m a difficult puzzle to crack.”
Kingston heavyweight Miles Gordon-Darby is also back on the bill after a year on the sidelines.
