Pinto to keep up his all-action style

Lewis Pinto has landed a second professional fight and wants to keep entertaining with his all-action style.

The 24-year-old from Wallington made his debut at Elephant & Castle in April when an army of fans from around the country saw him beat Danny Dontchev comfortably on points.

He will go back to the same venue on July 6 after being added to Mickey Helliet’s show and the light-middleweight is out to please the crowd again.

“I had supporters come from Manchester, Weymouth and all over the country to watch me last time,” he said.

“They saw me box in the Queensbury Boxing League on Eurosport and think I’m an exciting fighter.

“They know I’m not really a boxer, I’m a brawler who goes in there to have a row and I don’t mind taking 10 shots to land one – and that’s what they like to see."

Trainer Bernard Foreman, a former top amateur denied the chance of chasing professional titles by a car accident, is trying to tweak that style though.

“I’ve never had a coach before, I learned how to box by watching Mike Tyson DVDs,” added Pinto, who is looking for sponsors.

“Bernard is trying to get me to box more as I usually just steam in there, take a few and just try to land the big punch.

“I was nervous on my pro debut and could have done a lot better but I know what to expect next time and, hopefully, the stoppage will come.”

Tickets for the fight are available on 07908 750224 and potential sponsors should contact Tim Rickson on 07951 456457.
