Crank Racing team boss Mark Grimes says the best is yet to come from Twickenham’s Simon Low.

The 28-year-old biker secured three top ten finishes on his Thundersport GB Superstock 1000cc Championship debut, aboard the team’s new Kawasaki ZX-10R machine.

Low finished 10th, 10th and eighth at Brands Hatch on the opening race weekend of the season and Grimes was pleased with what he saw.

“We’re not putting any pressure on him, and I think he can be very happy with three top 10s, especially that eighth in the final race,” he said.

“It just shows how quickly he has been able to adapt to the new bike and I think we’ll see even more improvements as we go. It all bodes well for a great year.”

Low added: “To see my lap times tumble each time out and to get better results each race was just what I wanted and needed. Now I just can’t wait for the rest of the season.

“Three top 10s in my first weekend on a 1000cc motorbike is something I can be proud of and it’s a great way to start and build from.”

The next action is at Donnington Park on April 11.
