More of the same please: Park players celebrate their 104-5 mauling of Cambridge, and now it is time for Coventry

Jan Bonney has warned Coventry his Rosslyn Park side will be looking for a repeat performance of last week’s demolition of Cambridge.
Park thrashed lowly Cambridge 104-5, getting back to winning ways and keeping their National League 1 title hopes alive.
Head coach Bonney expects a tougher challenge when they travel to Coventry on Saturday – but won’t let that knock his confidence in his men.
“We know we are a better side than them and are more than capable of scoring tries against them,” he said.
“It’s going to be a difficult match and we know what we are going to get from them – they are one of the top teams.
“We must not get complacent – we set ourselves targets for the year and have to keep working hard towards them.”
Coventry currently sit eighth in the division and have won their last three matches.
But Bonney sees no reason they cannot continue their push to the top after taking Cambridge apart last week.
Park were leading 57-0 at the interval but refused to take their foot off the gas – embarrassing their visitors further.
He said: “It was a fantastic performance and result.
“We knew we had to get our points difference up so after having such a large lead at half-time we challenged ourselves to get to 100.”
Bonney said he reckons Park will have to win all their remaining games if they are to keep up the pressure on leaders Ealing Trailfinders and second-place Blaydon.
He added: “We must keep winning and picking up bonus points along the way.
“Other teams might start getting jittery as the season reaches its climax – hopefully somebody will slip up.
“If they do and we keep on winning and scoring tries, we will be waiting to take advantage.”
