Keats returns to London Welsh

Head coach Justin Burnell has put his side’s Championship destiny in the hands of the man who unwittingly cost London Welsh five Premiership points last term.
Scrum half Tyson Keats was among eight new signings confirmed by the Old Deer Park club this week, that Burnell is hoping can secure the exiles a swift top-flight return.
The 32-year-old, who made 18 appearances for the club last season, was found to have been falsely registered by disgraced former team manager Mike Scott leading to a five-point deduction that hampered Welsh's doomed battled against the drop.
Keats, USA Eagles flanker John Quill, Munster prop Paddy Ryan and versatile former London Wasps Academy back Liam O’Neill, have all signed permanent deals.
While Wasps number eight Rory Pitman and Leicester Tigers prop
Tom Bristow – who both featured in last Saturday’s 39-6 win over Ealing Trailfinders – have each penned loan and dual-registration deals respectively.
Burnell, who himself signed a contract extension this week, said: “The potential within this group of players is remarkable. There’s pace, skill, size and experience.
“What these signings demonstrate to me once again is London Welsh will leave no stone unturned to further strengthen its squad in the pursuit of success.”
