Director of rugby Mike Friday says if London Scottish are to secure a place in the Championship play-offs they cannot afford slip-ups at teams like winless Moseley, writes Alasdair Mackenzie.
Friday is in his second season at the Athletic Ground and is all too aware his side’s defensive frailties against teams below them cost them a top four finish last term.
And the former England Sevens guru does not want a repeat performance.
“They are a far better team than the league position illustrates,” he said ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Birmingham.
“If we’re not 100 per cent accurate and on the money both mentally as well as physically, then Moseley are capable of turning any team over.
“This year we’ve bolstered the squad in the front five area to give us some more resilience and resolve in that department.
“There are still some teething problems of course, it’s still a work in progress.”
