Grasshoppers U14s started this seasons league campaign with a 24-10 home win over Bank of England, writes Phill Tait.
Joseph Formby opened the scoring for Hoppers with new player Barend Pietersen adding a second. However Bank scored twice and only Harry Cushen’s reliable kicking separated the sides 12-10 at half time.
As seems the way with Hoppers a strong second half and some astute substitions by coach Dylan Matthews resulted in Formby scoring a second and skipper Ian Upton finishing the game off with a powerful run and try. Harry Cushen was successful in two conversion attempts
