Simon Whatling, Oli Grove and Jamie Stevenson come into the starting side for London Scottish as they aim to bounce back from defeat to Leeds Carnegie last time out when they face Plymouth Albion at the Athletic Ground this weekend.

Whatling, a loan signing from London Welsh, will play at fly-half as Phil Godman drops to the replacements bench.

Grove, who was injured during the win over Jersey on March 2nd and missed the Leeds game, returns to the side at outside centre.

Stevenson returns at scrum half, forming a new half-back pairing with Whatling, and David Howells keeps his place on the wing, after returning from a long spell out with injury in the last few games.

There are no changes in the pack as Lewis Thiede keeps his place at tighthead. Paul Spivey and Tyler Hotson continue their partnership in the second row and the loose-forward trio of Ben Russell, Chevvy Pennycook and skipper Mark Bright are teamed together once again.

Nic Mayhew, Harry Allen and Eric Fry provide the front row options on the replacements bench and there are also places for Harlequins’ dual-registered lock Sam Twomey, who last weekend helped his parent club win the LV= Cup final against Sale Sharks, and flanker Tommy Spinks, back from international U20s duty with Scotland.
