Wimbledon RFC are out for revenge this weekend when they go to Chobham on the back of four consecutive wins in London Division One South.

Having won 24-22 at former leaders Chichester last weekend, thanks to Neil Hallett’s penalty deep into injury time, coach James Ogilvy Bull says the side are brimming with confidence.

“There are not many sides who will get anything out of Chichester and it was a fabulous effort from the lads,” he said.

“When we played Chobham at the beginning of the season, we were 15-3 ahead and lost 15-18 to a last-minute penalty.

“That still rankles with the players and they are desperate to put the record straight.”

He added: “If we can go into Christmas unbeaten in five games, then we’re getting where we want in terms of challenging for promotion.”

Tries from Pete Scott, Jack Fishwick and Brian Croke, plus nine points from Hallett did the trick.

There was a down side to the game as it marked a last outing for Jonno Reynolds, who has returned to Australia.
