England head coach Stuart Lancaster thinks former St George’s College student Anthony Watson is a reason to be excited about England’s clash with New Zealand on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Bath winger is in the matchday squad to take on the world champions at rugby HQ in the opening clash of the autumn international series this weekend.

Should Watson either start or come off the bench it will be the former London Irish academy player's first senior international appearance, having already starred for his country’s second string.

“The players have worked really hard and everyone who has been in camp has pushed hard for selection. Their attitude has been fantastic,” said Lancaster.

“We are excited about the squad we have picked and are looking forward to taking on a team of the quality of New Zealand.”

Quins Joe Marler, Chris Robshaw, Danny Care and Mike Brown are also in the squad, however, Marland Yarde has not made the cut.
