Tom Brake runs for the Royal Marsden
MP Tom Brake will run the Sutton Runners 10k event in Beddington Park this Sunday, 1st May.
Tom, who has in the past participated in local events for a number of charities including St Raphael’s Hospice and Sports Relief, is this time hoping to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Tom said: “It’s been great raising money for such a worthy cause, and it’s always a pleasure to run in Beddington Park. But I can only hope that the slow progress of my training run over the weekend was down to a big lunch!”
Tom will join almost 500 other runners over 3 laps of Beddington Park, starting on the Church Road at 10.30am.
Entries online still being taken. If there is availability on the day entries will be taken from 09:30am though only 70 places remaining in total at this point) .
The race will consist of 3 laps, passing through Beddington Park on tarmac paths and on the surrounding roads. The route will be clearly marked with kilometre markers and well marshalled. Please obey the marshal’s instructions – your safety is our prime concern.
