My nephew Danny is seven years old and is unable to walk independently.
When travelling out and about, he uses his wheelchair. For many years we have had trouble travelling on buses due to bus drivers allowing buggy users to use the wheelchair priority area.
In the past year, the amount of times we have been unable to get on buses have increased and we are getting very frustrated and annoyed by this.
Not only are we getting frustrated, but Danny is fully aware of what happens around him and it upsets him and is also making him anxious when waiting for buses.
With the weather getting colder, we are not looking forward to standing around at bus stops waiting for bus after bus that does not have a buggy on them.
We have tried on several occasions to raise this matter to the bus companies, in particular routes 455 and 154, but have had no response from either of the companies.
