I wonder if any of your readers have noticed the rain water buildup at the junction of Erskine Road and Wrythe Lane and beyond each time there is a downpour.
I walk to Carshalton station each morning and every time there is a downpour I dread the walk because motorists drive at speed through the massive puddles and I get drenched.
One of my coats has already been ruined because of the mud splashes emanating from the puddles.
I say puddles, but they can be better described as rivers. I have reported this issue to Sutton Council who say it is a Sutton and East Surrey Water board issue, but they deflect it back to the council. Surely it cannot be beyond the means of both the council and Sutton and East Surrey Water to get together to address the problem and finally put an end to the residents’ misery?
Alternatively, perhaps I should send my dry cleaning bills for splashed clothing to both for settlement?
