You can tell elections are due when the frequency of communications, paid for directly or indirectly by the taxpayer, come through the letterbox.

It is quite right politicians explain and account for their period in office. However Tom Brake MP states much as to what he has campaigned for and delivered such as Nest pensions (Really? I thought that was Labour).

Absent is much of his record over the last four years. Tom Brake MP is disingenuous to mention Miliband’s omission of deficit, when he in turn omits any mention of how Government debt has increased more than inherited.

Absent is his record on introducing the bedroom tax, increasing student loans, removal of employment rights and higher public sector cuts, which he and his party rejected in their pre-election campaign.

Perhaps his record should be judged against this record of delivery?
