Yesterday evening my son was involved in an incident in Beddington Gardens,Wallington.
He was hit by a car when crossing the road on his way home from school. He is fine and back on his feet already thankfully, but I wanted to thank all the amazing people who stopped to help him.
The man who gave him first aid and spoke to me on the phone to reassure me, the lady who made sure he was comfortable, all the people who helped to direct the traffic and who stopped to make sure he was okay, and, of course, the paramedics and hospital staff.
I cannot thank you enough. We hear so much about dangerous people in our community, it is wonderful to see how many more are caring and supporting of strangers in a time of need.
