I am writing in as I am so confused as to why the London Borough of Sutton did not consult blind or visually- impaired people when planning the new scheme at Hackbridge.

Surely they could have consulted Michael Parsons who is mentioned in the article and at least got some of it right? It seems that the campaigner for road safety has found several blind and visually impaired people to give their opinions, so why did they not?

Another question I put to them is why is it only “following consultation” that stronger colourings for the crossings are being discussed when these were promised to us in the original plans?

Come on Sutton, it is time to get this sorted out before someone is seriously injured or worse.
