In a leaflet Paul Burstow writes of building a fairer society and a stronger economy – a balance between equal opportunities and individuals’ financial security.
Perhaps Mr Burstow could recap this with his wife. As a Cheam councillor who has supported a 2.5 per cent allowance increase for Sutton councillors, Mary Burstow understands the importance of financial security.
By also supporting a council tax rise of 1.99 per cent one assumes her yearning for a fairer society is less convincing than her desire to build a stronger Burstow household economy.
