I agree with the recent comments that whoever came up with the new traffic flows at Sutton railway station obviously does not live in the area.

You now cannot cross the road to the station but take your life in your hands to get across and into the station – or wait several minutes until a gap in the traffic appears.

I now gather a woman was hit by a car at this crossing recently.

You also now get queues of traffic at the new pelican crossing down from the station and with traffic backing up you now get Mulgrave Road completely blocked.

The whole thing is a mess and the planner who came up with this scheme should be sacked.

The cab rank should have been moved to the other side of the station, by Quadrant House, where there is plenty of room and no traffic at all.

Now the cabs queue down Mulgrave Road, park all over the double yellow lines and all over the pavements and block business entrances so business owners cannot exit with their cars.

It is an accident waiting to happen and an absolute nightmare as there is poor visibility.

If the council or police would be kind enough to come down and look at the area any weekday evening between 6pm and 8pm you will see what I mean.

The local council telephone number we were given to report bad parking by cabs does not work and is out of service. What a country we have become.
