Regarding the granting of planning permission for a temporary mosque in Worcester Park, (New mosque gets go-ahead, May 14).
The planning inspector Richard Clegg has shown complete disregard for the residents who attended the public meetings and made their objection very clear with regard to the proposal to change the use of the Old Bank Chambers in Green Lane to accommodate a mosque.
It is very clear to everyone this site is most unsuitable due to both traffic congestion and parking issues.
This decision means it will be almost impossible to park anywhere near the High Street on Fridays and loss of trade will be disastrous for the small shopkeepers.
If Mr Clegg really believes the limit of 95 people attending Friday prayers will be adhered to, may I suggest he is living in cloud cuckoo land.
