Tatiana DeMaria visited the Music Technology department on Wednesday 14 November as part of an ongoing programme of one off seminars by music industry professionals.
Tatiana is a British multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, singer and record producer, best known publicly as the founder and lead vocalist/guitarist for London based Rock band, TAT. She has also written and produced songs for up and coming UK hip hop artists as well writing and producing music for commercials, shows, and movies; most recently the latest 7UP theme song, music for Pepsi and original movie titles for the Universal production of Blue Crush 2.
The seminar, which is a regular part of the BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Technology at Carshalton College was well attended by music students and was enthusiastically received. . “The students were inspired by what she had to say” said tutor Andy Brook, “Tat is a brilliant artist and not only did she answer all the students questions but she performed a song for them as well!”
Future visiting industry professionals include a record company manager, a music photographer, a DJ, a journalist, an artist manager, a promoter, a songwriter and many others.
