Today at Westcroft leisure Centre, two 13 year old girls, swam 5 km (200 lengths) each.

They did this as individuals to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Charity Swimathon.

Josephine Miller and Claudia Wareham swam this incredible distance; they both just completed it in one go today (Sunday 28th April 2013), starting at 4pm and finishing in a fast time of 2 hours 20 minutes later.

They are very close friends and feel very proud to have achived their goal. They became friends though having lessons at Westcroft Lesiure Centre.

If anybody wishes to donate towards their swim to make it all worthwhile for them please log on to swimathon and search for their names.

Based on information supplied by Mr Terry Miller(father of Josephine).
