The children in Year 1 at Stanley Park Infants' School have thoroughly enjoyed their recent art project which has included visits to the local Corner Gallery and demonstrations to each class by a wealth of local artists. They have learnt a range of new techniques and used a variety of medium including decoupage, mono printing, silk painting, glass decorating, charcoal and watercolours. All their artistic creations were displayed throughtout the classrooms and the school hall, much to the delight of children, parents and staff alike in their pop-up gallery this week. The rest of the school voted for their favourite work of art and prizes were presented in a special assembly.
