Booming business in the South East has prompted building services provider J S Wright to appoint David Smith from Sutton as a Senior Contracts Engineer.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, David has joined the Birmingham-based company’s London team led by Operations Director Paul Featherston at its offices in Trafalgar Square.

David, who lives at Wallington, started out as an apprentice design engineer and was previously a senior project manager for a company that provides air conditioning for data centres.

He has also delivered services for controlled environments and high security buildings including the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall.

David is now working in London on 283 new-build properties at Canada Water and a new 267-home scheme at Fulham Wharf.

Marcus Aniol, Managing Director of J S Wright, said: “I am delighted to welcome David as one of two new Senior Contracts Engineers. His vast experience will place us in good stead as we build on our rapidly growing presence in the South East which now accounts for more than 70 per cent of our business.”
