This year, for the first time, Kingston University has a Young Green Society and they have a very special guest speaker.
Amelia Womack, the Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales is visiting to give a speech about the Young Greens.
The event is free to everyone. People from across the political spectrum are welcome as there will be a Q&A segment where anyone can ask Amelia questions.
In the run-up to the general election next year, the Young Green Society is dedicated to getting the student body more politically active.
“Amelia Womack is a perfect example of how a Young Green can influence the future of politics.
It is so vital to get the young people of today interested and engaged in such important matters,” said Siobhan Cockram, President of the Kingston University Young Green Society.
Amelia will be speaking in room 0001 in the John Galsworthy Building at Kingston University’s Penrhyn Road campus from 18:30 to 20:00 on Wednesday, October 29.
