The Meningitis Trust is asking mums-to-be to take a break in support of its 2007 Coffee Break campaign which runs from March 19-30.

New research has found that moderate coffee drinking does not harm the unborn baby, pregnant women can now indulge in a mug of their favourite coffee while supporting the work of the UK's leading meningitis charity.

The Coffee Break pack contains vital information to raise awareness of meningitis - the UK's largest killer of children under five.

"Coffee Break is a fantastic chance for expectant mums to get together and find out about the signs and symptoms of the disease in babies and help them be better prepared for motherhood," said Sian Jones, fundraiser at the trust.

"Anyone organising an event and raising over £200 will also have the chance to win a luxury weekend break in Cheltenham Spa which would be a great treat for a couple expecting a new baby.

Money raised by the event will help the Meningitis Trust continue to fight meningitis, from providing support for thousands of people across the UK living with the after-effects of the disease, to educating the public and professionals about the signs and symptoms of meningitis.
