A dad arrested following the death of his daughter from head injuries has been rebailed until the new year.
Ben Butler was arrested after his six-year-old daughter Ellie was found collapsed at their home in Westover Close on Sutton's Shanklin Estate on Monday, October 28.
Ellie was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead later that day. A post-mortem concluded she died from head injuries.
Mr Butler was arrested and bailed until yesterday but has now had his bail extended until a date in early January while police continue their enquiries into the Avenue Primary School pupil's death.
